Cause of Death: Killed on torpedoed Japanese prison ship in Subic Bay, Philippines. Served with the 81st Field Artillery Regiment, 81st Division, Philippines. He was taken prisoner and put aboard the hell ship Oryoku Maru to be transported to Japan. His remains were never identified, but he is presumed having died during the December 1944 attacks (Source: Department of Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency)
